Day #81 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pam Kendal with " Beer near a body of water ". Though I am sure that Pam was thinking more along the lines of a Corona commercial, however I live in dirty gritty NYC so you get a rusted old Budweiser, probably discarded by a homeless drunk, left by the side of the east river. Ahhhh the romance of a big city is just toxifying. Thanks again to Pam.

Day #81 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Meaghan Allor with "Treat the earth well, it was not given to you by your parents, but loaned to you by your children". This one proved to weigh on my mind for quite some time now. I have settled on simply showing you a few photos(of the past month or two) that I feel encompass the love and beauty that this world has. I believe that my children and yours deserve the chance to experience nature and those who dwell amongst it. So here are some of my favorites, and I hope you take a second, not to see the photo, but the beauty of nature that you may otherwise over look. Thanks again to Meaghan for her inspiration.

Day #80 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Adam DePetris with "Hands". A very delicate and precise thing to capture. If you take time to look at a person's hand, you can really tell alot about them. Rough, wrinkled, cracked, scared. Smooth, soft, dirty, or manicured. The hand in this photo is a very proud display of love. Joyously presenting the gift she was given on her wedding day. Thanks again to Adam for another great idea.

Day #79 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Neal Keller with " Classics". A very good suggestion indeed. There was a time in this busy god forgotten city when cab drivers spoke clearly and knew the city like the back of their hands. There was no talking on cell phones then, and if you said "I'd like to go to Queens please", they said "Yes sir, hop on in. How was your day?" A time frozen in history when people took pride in themselves and their jobs. The days of checkered cabs are gone, but hopefully the spirit is not forgotten. Thanks again to Neal.

Day #78 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pat Nolan with "Stairwells". This photo gives me vertigo. I think the attempt was to remember that optical illusion of the stairs that you can't decipher which is up and which way is down. Thanks again to Pat.

Day #77 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Brian DePetris with the Halloween inspired "Scary A Disturbing image". Do you remember when you were a child and anything could scare the bowels from your body? Do you remember "Bloody Mary"? Turn off all the lights in the room and sit yourself in front of a mirror. Repeatedly speak her name and eventually she may appear to you as in theses rare unseen photos. If you look closely you can see may faces. But which one is looking your way. Happy Halloween!!

Day #76 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Meaghan with "Spongebob Squarepants". I thought this one would prove to be a difficult one being that I don't know him personally, until my young neighbor insisted on giving me a gift. That gift being a sticker of Spongebob himself. To all of you who have children, or maybe just an immature husband, you know the joy of spongebob. Thanks again to Meaghan for the idea and Mohamed (Mahin) for the sticker.

Day #75 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Angela Lewis with "Fonts". I believe this font is called 'Lucinda Grande'. That is always the big decision when typing a letter is which font to choose, so choose wisely or you may look very silly. Thanks again to Angela for a very interesting suggestion.

Day #74 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pat once again with "Guilty Kids". I am not sure if this is what qualifies a guilty kid but this young lady insisted on popping every large bubble made by a street performer in Central Park. Well you know what they say about karma..........."it can eventually burst your bubble". Ok so they may not say that but hey, she learned never to pop the bubble you are standing under. Thanks again to Pat.

Day #73 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is ................ well it's me with "Unseen Nature in NYC". Yes I made my own suggestion because I can. I love finding and recording things that most others never take the time to really examine and enjoy. In a city filled with so much speed, noise, and size it is easy to overlook the smallest of artwork. I myself would have overlooked this little friend if it wasn't for my big clunky boxer ,"Harlem", pointing it out to me. Just take the time and admire the littlest of creations. Thanks again to me.

Day #72 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Brian DePetris with " The Bronco Statue". This statue of a red eyed bronco is located near the Denver airport. As you leave the airport heading for Denver you quickly encounter this menacing thoroughbred. It really makes you think twice after knowing that this statue actually killed it's creator by falling on him before it could take its rightful place along the highway. This made for a very difficult shot as it had to be taken through the dirty bus window at about 70 miles an hour. Thanks again to Brian.

Day #71 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Amanda Patrick with "Bugling Elk" I had the pleasure of going out to Estes Park Colorado to shoot the wedding of Amanda and Shorty and while there I visited the Rocky mountains where I found this studly bull elk and his harem. I found the closer I got the more my life was endangered. I may not be too smart but I do get the shot. Thanks to Amanda and the elk.
