Day #105 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Ashley with"Moon behind a wicked tree". This is a mid day moon. The sky was clear and blue and yet the moon shone bright behind this leafless tree. Thanks again to Ash.

Day #104 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pat with "Playgrounds". This was a difficult challenge as a 33 year old man sneaking around playgrounds taking pictures looks a bit sketchy. So I went out after a good snow storm to catch the view of a playground when it is at rest. Thanks again to Pat.

Today's winner is Tracy Fisher with "Sleeping". I love a good train sleeper. When they've had a long day and they get on the train to go home and then it happens. The slump, the bob, and then the lean onto a stranger who oddly enough doesn't usually care. Ahh New York City. Thanks again to Tracy.

Day #102 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Tom Kelly with "Government". I had thought about sneaking into the white house to take some amazing shots of our 44th president on the crapper, however I didn't have the time. So we have to settle with Lincoln. Thanks again to Tom.

Day #100 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Tom Keegan with "Find a stranger, have them point to a word in the dictionary and put that word into a photo". Well I think this has been the most interesting one I have had so far. So much so that it might become a new project for me. It really gives you a chance to view things differently, and forces me to think on the spot. This word was pointed out by Sebastian. I met this young man on his way home from school on the subway. He pointed to henna and luckily enough my wife is a henna artist. It was fate. Thanks to Tom and thanks to Sebastian.

Day #99 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Alaina Nagel with "Horse & Carriage". I don't know if it's a good thing or bad, but the smell of horse manure is kinda nice to me. It reminds me of childhood and going to the zoo or the circus. Which proves to be a good thing as I was kneeling in a nice pile of horse muffins to capture these shots. Thanks again to Alaina.

Day #98 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Adam Depetris with "Tourism". There are many names for a tourist. from 'Fudgy to Leafer'. But New York City tourists can be some of the best. Take a picture with a crazy street performer or take a bus tour and look at the locals like you are on an African safari. What ever you choose to do I, as a local, ask you to do one thing.............step aside!! Thanks again to Adam.

Day #96 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Adam Depetris and Tracy Fisher with "Tongues". I like it when more than one person suggests an idea. To me that shows a cool connection of thoughts. I hope it means that I am encouraging you all to view the world in a different way. These shots of tongues really make the tongues a very different look up close, kinda weird and creepy. Thanks again to Tracy and Adam.

Day #95 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Tracy Fisher with "Rain". Tracy sends some great ideas and this one was perfect for a rainy night like tonight. The first one is of rain falling. The second is of one of my favorite views when it rains. It is the reflection of the street light on the street. It creates a dance of speckles and lights. I personally love a good rain storm. The smell of fresh rain that cleanses the streets and, like a hot shower in the morning, it awakens life So put the plants outside and take a deep breath next time you have a good rain storm. Thanks Tracy.
