Day #70 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Meaghan with "Flowers around the corner on Crescent". Theses flowers are in a garden around the corner from where I live and only bloom around sunset. The blooming process is quite amazing to watch. They spiral open like an origami unfolding revealing a rainbow of colors. Thanks again to Meaghan.

Day #69 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Alaina Nagel with "Needle in a haystack". This is what I like to call prohibition beach. It lies on the bank of the east river in NYC and it is like trip to another land. The glass of broken and forsaken bottles wash up on the shore causing a kaleidoscope of greens, browns, and clear glass and the sound is that of distant wind chimes. Needle in a haystack can take on many interpretations, but to me it is a where's Waldo situation, where everything looks very similar. Thanks again to Alaina.

Day #68 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pat Nolan with " Hidden Alleyways". The one thing I have learned to really love in this life is discovering something you never would expect in your own neighborhood. Next time you have the day off, go for a walk and keep your head up. You might find the world looks a bit different. This alleyway is around the corner from my home and it looks like it could be frome anywhere in the world. Thanks again to Pat for another great suggestion.

Day #67 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pam with "Life vs Death". Though this is a bit of a disturbing picture, it is a part of life. This little undeveloped dove was one of the many that were born across from our window on our neighbors air conditioner. Every year Ms. Dove comes to have her babies, 6-8 doves each year, but this year one didn't make it. Watching the process of life play out every summer never gets old, but unfortunately death is all part of that life cycle. So don't mourn his life, but celebrate the life he lived.

Day #66 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pam Zeman with "Eyes". I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you stop and take a close look at common everyday things, you will see the world in a completely different way. An eye or better yet eye lashes can look alot different if you look at them like you are a new born who has never seen anything like it before. Thanks again to Pam and keep those great ideas coming.

Day #65 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Adam DePetris With "Tree Growing Out of The Rock in Central Park". This is a very sacred and quiet place off of 66th street and makes you think that nature really will overcome. This tree is growing strong and sturdy straight through a solid rock. When we are all long gone, nature will never stop thriving. Thanks again.

Headshot Special

It's time for those headshots kids. Book now time is limited.

Day #64 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Adam DePetris with "Great Frowns & Smiles". I visited the ever so rowdy 'Holland Festival' in Bowling Green, NY. The music, the tulips, and the wooden shoes were plentiful as you would imagine. When the models took the stage to show off the styles of dutch women, this joyful ray of sunshine just sealed the deal for "Great Frowns & Smiles", I leave it to you to decide which one she is. Thanks to Adam.

Day #63 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Sara Dunivant with "Boredom". Now I know you might all say "hey josh you've already used this young man a a model for 'guilty child' suggested by Jeff Legreca". Well you would be right, but look at him this is the perfect model of boredom. If you have nothing else to do, cut out eye holes, put that paper bag on your head, and go bug the neighbors. Thanks again to Sara.

Day #62 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Pat with "Fountains". This is my take on Bethesda Fountain in Central Park. Yes that is the fountain in the back round there. Go at the right time and you will find a young man creating all types of bubbles withe string and some dishwater. This is one of my favorite photos I have taken in a long while. Thanks again to all of you for inspiring me to get out there and get these great shots.

Day #61 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Laura Hakim Etherton with "Dancer" and Adam DePetris with "Dance Like No One Is Watching". I thought this photo works nicely for both suggestions. Dancing in the street with a hundred people watching, this guy does a head spin on the concrete like it's just another day at the office. Thanks to the both of you. Keep the great ideas coming.

Day #60 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Tracy Fischer with "Cute Old Couple Holding Hands". It's inspiring to see that love can last in this day in age. It's a tough time right now. People are in a struggle to stay afloat. Tensions are high. But at the end of the day, life seems alot easier when the one you love is there to hold. So go right now and let someone know that they are loved. Thanks Tracy, I really liked this one.

Day #59 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Ashly with "Street Performers". There is no shortage of acts here on the corners of NYC. Break dancers, acrobats, singers, drummers, musicians and so much more. If you don't like the music, just walk a few blocks and you'll find something or someone new, so you'd better have a gimmick to get noticed in this city. Thanks again to Ashly.

Day #58 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Meredith Jacobs with "Athletes" If you spend any time in Central Park you will see plenty of healthy fit people keeping their heart rates up and their blood pumping. And if you look beyond that you might even see me eating Twinkies and taking their photo. Whether running, biking, or just playing some sports, it was a good day to get out and get some fresh air. Thanks a gain to Meredith.

Day #57 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Laura Etherton with "The oddest shoe". Today Bowling Green Park in NYC hosted the Holland Festival. I never thought clogs to be the 'oddest' shoe around, but then I saw it, where else would you find a wooden tiger clog shoe but at the Holland Festival? Though this man was an amazing artist and watching him carve a shoe made it look really easy, This shoe was a bit much...........so I bought 4 pair!!!! Thanks again to Laura for her first winning suggestion.

Day #56 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Alaina Nagel with "Light at the end of the tunnel". I decided to to take this one very literally. This is just that.........a light........at the end of a tunnel in Central Park. Thanks to Alaina.

Day #55 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Anthony Frisina with the very first suggestion ever. "NYC Skyline from The Great Lawn". This is the, one and only, first idea sent my way. I was going to save this one for the final photo but, I was in the park today and figured Tony would be missing the quiet green field. The smell of fresh cut grass and suntan lotion fills your senses on one of the last weekends of summer. Throw the Frisbee. Toss the football. Or just don that sexy bikini and get some sun. A hidden oasis in this stress filled city. Thanks again to Tony for starting off the 6 Month Challenge with a great suggestion.

Day #54 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Meaghan with "Paws". Harlem is a sweet 5 year old rescued angel that resides in Queens. She loves to nap and if it's on a soft bed in the warm sun, she is happy. Though those feet may look peaceful while at rest, at play they can keep her running faster than most men. Thanks to Meaghan and thanks to Harlem.

Day #53 Winner of the 6 Month Challenge

Today's winner is Alaina Nagel with "Raindrops on Roses & Whiskers on Kittens" Ha! I bet she didn't think I'd take her seriously on this one. This one encompassed my feline model, Timmy, and a gorgeous rose in my mothers garden right after a healthy rainstorm. Thanks again to Alaina and all of you. I need even more ideas so keep em' coming!!!
